GUNTHORPE RIDINGS SPEEDING/PARKING ISSUES

Following a collision which happened this morning in Cleveland Court off of Hallfields Lane, it was reported by Peterborough Today that a 3 year old was injured. My sincerest thoughts are with the child’s family and I hope that the child makes a speedy recovery. As you all know myself and my fellow colleagues are aware of the parking/speeding issues which are surrounding the Local Schools and I have been working closely with Peterborough City Council to help try to tackle these issues, but it is clear that more needs to be done.

I have contacted Peterborough City Council and the many officers of which I have been working with to find out what their plans are following the incident.

In the meantime, I have this afternoon placed Speed Awareness Signs along Hallfields Lane; in the hope this will remind drivers to check their speed and slow down.

I will keep all residents updated on what the Officers plan to do and I thank all residents who took the time to report this to me and also to those who got involved and helped.

Kind Regards
Councillor Bond
